So, obviously the name of my website is In2Living Well with Mary Wuerdeman. I named it that because I love living a healthy, balanced lifestyle and I feel driven to help others do the same. This is where I’m tempted to go on and on about what I do and how passionate I am about bringing my message to the world, but I’ll resist that urge in the interest of getting to the point. Hopefully you already know that anyway…
The point is that while I talk and write a lot about food and wellness, wellness is about so much more than what you put in your mouth. Don’t get me wrong, food is incredibly powerful and can change everything, but there’s definitely more to it than that. We, in fact, create our own wellness with the many small decisions we make every single day. Food is certainly one aspect of that, but consider this:
When you woke up this morning did you take a moment to consider the day that lay before you? Did you perhaps take a moment to enjoy the smell of freshly brewed coffee, the sun coming up or even the greeting of a four legged friend? Did you not only take note of it, but did you really enjoy it? Or feel thankful for it? Did you then consciously say to yourself something like, “I’m going to have a great day?” Did you consciously make a decision to have a happy, healthy day? If not, you may have missed an opportunity.
You see, you have to choose to be happy and healthy. If you, yourself do not make a conscious choice it will likely be determined by what the current conditions of life look like. Every single day you are creating your future health and wellbeing whether consciously or unconsciously. You either create your future with intention or by default. You don’t get to “not create”. It will happen with or without you!
So, I’d like to issue the following challenge. For the next three days (or forever, wink), I’d like to suggest that when you wake up, you take a moment to focus on, enjoy and feel the positive energy that surrounds you. Feel grateful for it. Then, I’d like you to consciously decide what your day will look like. Tell yourself how amazing it’s going to be! I’m willing to bet that if you decide to have a happy, healthy day you’ll do just that!
I’d love to hear how this challenge works out for you, so comment, on my blog, on facebook or message me and let me know how it’s working out for you!
Warm, healthy regards,
